GATHERING 集合   
WORD 御言葉 
RESPONSE 応答
DISMISSAL 任務の実践

1. The People enter into the presence of God 私たちが神の臨在へと入る
2. God speaks through the Word 主は御言葉を通して語られる
3. The people respond 私たちが応答する
4. God’s people depart to love & serve the †Lord 主に仕えるために主を愛し送り出される

This is the Fourfold Pattern of Worship.

The lines provide a visual sense of the movement of worship. Worship is not a program, but a movement of God’s people who ENTER His presence to hear the WORD, and RESPOND in Thanksgiving.  Having been touched by God, we DEPART into the world to love and serve the Lord.  This fourfold pattern is rooted in Scripture and is a historically reliable structure that effectively communicates the content of worship.

上記の線は、礼拝式の流れを表している。この流れは、礼拝の中で実際に体系的に起こっている事である。その様式は、生活の中で絶えず体験する神との関係のリハーサルのようなものであり、感謝を表す応答を通して、神の御国の王との謁見室へと私を導くものである。礼拝式は決まった儀式的なプログラムではなく、神の御言葉を受け取るべく御前に進み出て、感謝を持って神に応え、神の愛に触れられ、神に仕えるためにこの世に遣わされていくのである。この流れは、礼拝の内容を最も効果的に表現している、聖書的でありまた歴史的な型をとっているといえる.
